The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the MENA-OECD Governance Programme Centre organised a workshop and meeting of the MENA-OECD Network on Public Procurement. The meeting was held at the MENA-OECD Governance Programme Centre premises in Caserta, on 11 and 12 April 2016.

The MENA-OECD Public Procurement Network was established in Caserta in 2012. Its major goal is to encourage the setting up of public procurement systems based on integrity, efficiency and transparency, and to support the MENA region in building capacity.

The workshop was conducted by international experts with a wide range of experiences in building sound procurement practises under different national contexts. Among other things, it addressed the entire procurement cycle, e-Procurement, innovations and it developed areas of common interest to frame the activities of the MENA–OECD Network on Public Procurement.
